Hi guys, sorry i have been away a while, things are very hectic at the moment with work and back to study.

The mail man dropped off a recent purchase today. I received an email from Bryan Litz asking if i was interested in his new book.

For those who do not know, Bryan is the Ballistician at Berger Bullets.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to reading the book but with work and study at once it will take me a long while to get through it.

My question is, is this a goo dplace to start for a dummy like myself or is it going to be to technical and should i build up my knowledge elsewhere first?

Nothing wrong with starting there. You may find that knowing something, and knowing something that is useful and can be applied in a real world situation can be two entirely different things. Don't believe everything you read, and always ask yourself on any issue, "how big a slice of the pie is this in the real world. When you get that digested you can go to Harold Vaughn's book, Rifle Accuracy Facts, and if you need more science check out Pejsa's book.

Bryan Litz overreacts on some issues and while reading some of his papers I found myself memorizing things that are not very important for shooting. I can agree that some of the things he said will make you smarter but If you are into practical shooting perhaps you should go with the books S1 recommends.
Take care and please keep in mind I only express my own observation about Mr. Litz work.

Slip, what is it that you feel Bryan over react on?

I am half way through his book and it all seems very practical to me. He has not as yet overly reacted on anything but has given a clear representation of practical experience.

He also states the real world impact on various factors and actually goes some way into debunking various beliefs and myths.
