Just browsing through the new Brownells Magazine and noticed a new product they have labeled their "TAC MAG".


The good news is, that the way they configured this product is just about right.

This 30 round magazine comes with the Magpul Self Leveling follower, a chrome silicon spring, and a Magpul Ranger Plate for under 20 bucks. For those of you not into rebuilding your own mags to a better spec, this is a real good off the shelf option.

The H&k mag may be considered the top of the line, but for my money the above set up is by far a better value.

Price is even better, have a sight window for first 10rnds fired, I believe, polyer, has cap that pushes the rnds down just off the feed lips for storage.

Have tried a thinking 20 or 30 of the tac mags and they are good. Did have trouble with drop test out of mag well on 1 rifle, but no other rifles tried out of 4 rifles. I'll blame the rifle. Thinking about 1/3 of the mag were snug fit. Not my mags, brother in laws, so exact figures not in my head. Talked to him last weekend and he is loving the mags so far. He shoots and carries his gun everyday.
He also had the magpul mags and just starting to try them out. Was very pleased so far.
