For those of you that haven't read it over at the SC or Recoil's site, Jeff Dorr passed away July 17th. He was working under a car at his body shop, when it appearantly fell of the jack stands on top of him. Below is a link to a news article regarding the incident, and you can find more over at the SC or Recoil's site. Bigbore, a member on both sites, was his close personal friend, and can also give you more information.
I know I haven't been here in a while, and I hate showing up with bad news, but I've been pretty swammped between moving 3,000 miles and starting school.
Jeff was a great guy, and I had the opportunity to speak with him on a few occassions. He was an extremely active member at the SC, a mod at the SAS, and even posted a few times here. He was always a patient, resonable man, even when it came to dealing with the 'tards at the SC. He was extremely helpful, and would go out of his way to help you answer a question. I'm also not sure there wasn't a firearm he didn't own. He was an avid collector, with sometimes multiples of any and all types of firearms. He was also an active game hunter, and handloader as well.
This is sad news, I always enjoyed reading what he wrote, and even had the privledge of talking with him on several occasions. He is a great American, and a real patriot. Like you pointed out, one of the most helpful and genuine guys out there.
