Its been a while since my last post. Recently I actually found some interesting facts about the story my grandfather was telling me about long time ago. Unfortunately I know about this Operation but had no intell on when and how it was performed. I only knew (from what my grandfather told me) and that was that some American pilot were hiding in our village for few days before they were escorted to another place called Čačak from where they suppose to flew to USA.
The most important thing about this is that Operation Halyard is, most probably, the biggest rescue mission in American History and yet very few actually knows about it.
